Parenting Capacity Evaluations

Dr. Katherine frequently conducts parenting capacity evaluations.  A parenting capacity evaluation, also known as a risk assessment, is a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of a parent’s risk for neglect and/or abuse.  It combines specific and extensive interviewing, psychological testing, records review, and other data to help determine parenting capacity.  These types of evaluations usually require 2 or 3 separate visits, and can take anywhere between 12 – 20 hours.
